In The Village, members have set a new priority to fostering our next generation. They have flipped the script on how they interact with young people in their lives. They have abandoned the old attitude of waiting for children to break before acting, and replaced it with positive action toward healthy relationships. They have committed themselves to use their free time and resources to read and learn about healthy relationships and how to promote them. Armed with a current and informed understanding of children's relational needs, they are overcoming the doubt which has kept them in the background for too long. They are mentors, role models, "Big Brothers" and "Big Sisters" to children who are in "risky" environments - a home that has been stripped of a loving parent.
